Taking elements from the Assassin's Creed games as well as the combat system from the Batman: Arkham series comes Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a third-person open world Action-Adventure game. You take control of Talion, a ranger of Gondor who seeks revenge on the forces of Sauron after his family, including his wife, are killed. Though Talion has his throat brutally cut in the introduction, the wraith of the Elven Lord Celebrimbor is able to use his power to keep Talion alive, along with gifting him wraith-like abilities to exact his revenge.

Much like the Batman series of games, you can either choose to takes your targets out with stealth or just go in swinging your sword.
